Drilling
When Mark and Dave Traut took over the business in 1982 it revolved mostly around the home and irrigation markets, with the entire drilling industry comprised of technology dating back to the 1950’s using Cable Tool and Mud Rotary rigs.
However, they had visions of something much more than a traditional drilling company. They saw a need and invested in Sonic technology to obtain accurate samples when drilling on a new well site. In 1999 Traut Companies became the first, and still is, the only drilling company to use Dual Rotary drilling equipment in the state of Minnesota. The benefits of this type of drilling are many; having the desired qualities of the Cable Tool Rig, the speed of a Mud Rotary Rig, and the ability to drill large Municipal wells on small sites without the use of mud. This method also provides nice straight bore holes and high quality drill cutting samples.
Much of Traut’s specialized pieces of equipment are one-of-kind, custom built to provide advanced drilling techniques to achieve the best results for our clients.
Angle Wells
Traut Companies state of the art drilling rigs are capable of angle drilling.

Commercial
Capable of installing large wells in sites with limited area available.

Municipal
With dual tube drill rods sand removal is a very efficient process.
|
Traut Companies ability to organize and keep the site clean, helps safeguard the site from contaminants throughout the well construction and developing process.
