A rule of thumb is to have a well produce a minimum of 5 gallons per minute (GPM). However, you need to take into consideration peak demands. These would include lawn irrigation systems, swimming pools, hot tubs, and extra guests. Whether your well produces 1GPM or 100 GPM, the staff at Traut Companies can design a water system to fit your needs. Preventative Maintenance Your pump and well system will run many years with very little maintenance. However, there are a few things that should be done annually to prevent any major problems. This is sufficient to operate most homes. However, you may want to consider a larger pump and tank if any of the following occurs: If your water usage will be higher than average because of a lawn irrigation system, swimming pool, hot tub, or extra bathrooms Or if your well depth is over 80 feet Traut Companies can answer any of your questions and advise you of the best system to meet your needs.
